We welcome you to join us for Holy Mass!

We ask all who attend a public Mass at St. Catherine of Siena to do their part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by following the procedures outlined here.

Thank you for helping us worship both safely and prayerfully.

SHOULD I COME TO MASS?

You should not come to Mass if:

  • You are feeling sick, have a fever, of if a family member at home is sick.
  • You have been in contact with someone who is, or has recently been, sick.
  • You have a current diagnosis, or have tested positive, for COVID-19.
  • You have been advised by a medical professional to self-quarantine or self-isolate due to COVID-19 potential exposure.
  • You have been in close contact with someone with a current diagnosis or positive test for COVID-19.

Aside from the above categories, each person must decide what is best for themselves and their family. We kindly ask you to stay at home and tune into our livestream or watch our Mass on demand if:

  • You are a caregiver of a vulnerable person.
  • You have been traveling or have been in large crowds.
  • You are at risk because of preexisting conditions or are over the age of 60.
  • You are anxious about returning to public gatherings.

Please note that the Sunday obligation to attend Mass in person continues to be dispensed by Bishop Caggiano.  No one is required to attend Mass in person during this time of pandemic.

  • Pray. Relax. Be at peace. We are glad you are with us!

  • Face masks should be worn in the Communion line.

  • Father will present the Eucharist, saying “The Body of Christ”
  • You respond “Amen.”
  • Remove your face mask.
  • Step forward.
  • Receive the Eucharist without saying anything.
  • Step aside. Consume Jesus in the consecrated Host.

  • Please consider receiving Holy Communion in the hand.  Though we encourage reception of Holy Communion in the hand, reception will not be denied to those who choose to receive on the tongue.
  • Do not wear gloves when receiving Holy Communion in the hand.
  • For the safety of the priest or clergy member, they will give you Holy Communion without touching your hands. We ask for your cooperation in avoiding any contact during the distribution of Holy Communion.
  • All clergy will sanitize their hands before and after distributing Holy Communion.
  • There are two Communion stations at the Prayer Rails on either side of the Sanctuary.

AT THE END OF MASS

  • Private prayer is not available after weekend Masses to allow the church to be sanitized and prepared for the next Mass.
  • We ask that you exit the church in an orderly manner, respecting the 6 foot distance, following instructions from the Welcome Team.
  • In the interest of a “touchless” offertory, we ask that everyone continue to mail in their offertory envelopes or continue with Online Giving. For information, click here.
  • Please do not congregate after Mass either in Church or in the parking lot. Instead, head directly to your vehicle to allow the next Mass to start on time.
