At St. Catherine’s, we especially welcome families with young children.
“Let the little children come to me, and to not hinder them, for unto such as these belongs the Kingdom of Heaven,” Jesus said (Mk 10:14).
Our 9:00 Mass on Sundays is especially for families with young children. Although children and families of all ages are most welcome and should feel at home at all of our Masses, at the 9:00 Mass, at the time of the Readings, children are invited downstairs to the Church Hall to study God’s Word with adult leaders in an age-appropriate way.
The children return upstairs to their families for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. On the first Sunday of the month, children stay upstairs for the whole Mass, and the homily is geared specifically to the children.
